June Kitahara (she/they) is an art historian, writer and researcher based in New York City.

They are currently a research assistant at MoMA PS1, and an MA Art History candidate in Hunter College’s Department of Art and Art History. Her research focuses on the intersections of race, gender, sexuality and aesthetics. She has previously held positions at the Studio Museum in Harlem, and the Whitney Museum of American Art. She received her bachelor’s in Art History with a minor in Psychology from Barnard College of Columbia University.
